I haven't read the Bible or been to church lately. Is there a place for me at Franklin Lakes Baptist Church?
Absolutely! Whether you are unfamiliar with Scripture or have been a lifelong student, you will find teaching that is relevant to you as well as others just like you at our church.
I'm just beginning to investigate Christianity. How can Franklin Lakes Baptist Church help me?
On a corporate level, our worship services center on getting to know Jesus in a personal way because we believe you can, and we love to show others how.
On a personal level, we’re aware of how difficult and uncomfortable it can be to navigate through different religious systems and places of worship. Our goal is to take the time to show you what we believe, explain to you why we believe it, and to answer any questions that you have along the way. This can be accomplished through face to face discussion or more anonymously through e-mail with our pastor. We consider helping people, member or visitor, through their spiritual journey to be our top priority.

Will I have to stand up and be recognized as a visitor?
No. Each service has a few minutes set aside for us to greet and welcome each other, however, as a new visitor, you will not be ask to stand and be identified as a newcomer. This is an opportunity to greet each other with a simple handshake, wave or smile.
When do you gather for worship?
There are two worship opportunities each Sunday. Our Morning worship service is at 11:00 AM and our evening worship service is at 6:00 PM. We have many other midweek opportunities for worship and study.

What does your church believe?
We believe that the Bible, both the Old Testament and the New Testament, is the inspired Word of God, the final infallible truth concerning faith and life. We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God sent to redeem the world; we love and trust Him as the one who saves us from our sin; and with repentance and joy we embrace Him as Lord of our life.
You can find greater detail by viewing our Articles of the Faith.
Do you baptize both infants and adults?
You can find greater detail by viewing our Articles of the Faith.
No. According to the Bible, a person was baptized following their salvation as a symbol of their decision to walk in a new direction as they followed a new Master. The purpose of baptism is simply a public confession of this decision.
How often do you celebrate the Lord's Supper?
We celebrate the Lord's Supper (communion) once a month, typically on the first Sunday of every month.
The Lord’s Supper, like baptism, is only for those who have received Jesus as Lord and Savior. The Lord’s Supper is only symbolic of the death of Jesus and the new covenant that we enjoy through His shed blood. The Lord’s Supper is a serious time of reflection and renewal, it should always be taken with the greatest care.

Do I need to contribute to the offering?
At some time during the service, we have what's called an "offering." This is a way for members and regular attendees of the church to worship through financial gifts to support the church and it’s ministry. Please do not feel like you must or should contribute. We’re not after your money, we’re more interested in your relationship with the Lord. Our regular attendees and members will put their contributions in the offering plate as it passes by. You may give if you feel like giving, but please feel free to simply pass the offering plate to the next person.
